One day, the sound of playing the violin caught her attention. It is from a boy who was just visiting his family here. From then on, the girl falls in love with watching him through the window and indulging in the elegant music he plays. She dreams of escaping living under poverty and academic pressure, and she starts to fantasize about owning ‘a violin’ herself. After the boy leaves, in her lack of money, she decides to ‘steal’ a violin from the music store to enter the performance competition. However, when things fall apart, the little girl is caught and brought back to her old life by her mother. Only then she realizes that when everything is gone, she is still the same person who is trapped in the attic. But faintly, she always seems to hear the music called ‘Larking Ascending’.
